Today on the podcast, it’s all about International Fight Week. On Friday, we’ll see the finale for season 25 of The Ultimate Fighter. That means a number of things, not least of which is the UFC debut of former WSOF lightweight champion Justin Gaethje.
Saturday, of course, is the big show: UFC 213. The card isn’t what it once was, but it’s still strong. The UFC women’s bantamweight title is up for grabs in a sneakily interesting rematch between Valentina Schevchenko and Amanda Nunes. The card also features an interim middleweight title contest, a trilogy between elite heavyweights, a returning to lightweight Anthony Pettis and much more.
Lest we forget, this week also means inductions into the UFC Hall of Fame for former matchmaker Joe Silva, Japanese legend Kazushi Sakuraba, Urijah Faber and others.
There’s a lot going on, so join me today to discuss all of this and more. In terms of today’s chat, anything is up for discussion, but I will lead with this and it all kicks off at our time of 1 p.m. ET.
As is customary, I’ll post the video window here as the event draws near and I’ll answer any questions you may have if you post them in the comments section below. Be sure that you click the ‘rec’ button for those comments/questions you believe most deserve a response.
